To develop a business-like court with professional management
A court made the strategic choice to introduce professional line management: this would allow the court to achieve more and better results. ‘Teach us what leadership is’, was the question put to R.A.A.K., ‘and teach us how to provide leadership.’ By having leaders execute projects and providing them with training and coaching, awareness was created that leadership is a different job than administering justice. Also, that leadership can be learned and that not everyone is suited to it. The oldest justice is no longer automatically the leader. It also became clear that leaders are allowed to make mistakes and can learn from them.
